Williamsburg, OH Farm Auction

Semple International auctioned 440 acres of farm land located in Williamsburg, Ohio on Wednesday January 18. The farm had been held in a family trust for a number of years and consisted of 300 acres of tillable land and the remainder wooded. The auction was conducted off site at Semple’s corporate headquarters which is located just a couple of miles from the farm.

After implementing an aggressive 5 week marketing campaign, Semple offered the property in 6 parcels using the Multi Parcel bidding system. Over 75 people attended the auction and 32 registered as bidders. At 12:01 PM Brent Semple, Auctioneer, CAI, opened the auction and called the bids to establish a base price for the 6 individual parcels which ranged in size from .70 acre to 202 acres. Over the next 90 minutes Mr. Semple, Tony Giglio, Apprentice Auctioneer, and Mark Euton, Auctioneer, accepted bids from numerous bidders on single tracts and combinations of tracts. Upon conclusion of the auction the property was sold to 3 bidders for a total of $1,884,300.
