The Boulter House is one of the very few two-story Usonian styled homes designed by Wright. This 2,700 square foot four bedroom home is nestled on a 6/10 acre wooded lot in the Clifton area, and is one of only three Wright designed residents in Cincinnati.
Only the second owner, Miriam Gosling, is offering the property at public auction. Miriam and her late husband David purchased the home in 1989 and passionately preformed major restoration and cosmetic work to bring the house back to its original luster. In 1999 The home was placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of Interior.
The home exhibits many of Wright’s signature characteristics including Interior doors with piano styled hinges, flush vertical joints in the block grouting, Taliesen red stained Philippine Mahogany and intriguing cantilevered balconies.
Wright designed this home with many built in furniture pieces including dressing table, desks, custom beds, bookshelves & benches. Wright also designed several freestanding pieces of furniture especially for this home, which will be sold with the real estate.
